Courage suitcase
Transformations within companies inevitably fail if the people in the organization do not understand the meaning of the changes, if the new measures are not manageable in their daily work and if they cannot clearly benefit from the new systems as a team. These findings are considered "truisms" among cultural change experts.
Ten years ago, we took up this challenge and began analyzing successful transformation processes around the world. We have compiled the most valuable experiences in a comprehensive toolbox, which we call the "Courage Toolbox for Werkstolz". We generally use these tools in two-year projects to accompany project groups, train internal moderators and support a variety of workshops and team development measures.
The MutKoffer has over 200 tools for change processes
The courage suitcase for cultural transformation and the qualification of facilitators play a central role in the realignment of organizations. Since 2010, Denkwerkstatt has developed and compiled numerous tools that provide companies with targeted support in their transformation processes. Among other things, we use the Courage Kit to qualify moderators or so-called culture change agents - also known as "evangelists" at Microsoft. These people, who generally do not have any management responsibility, moderate teams, lead workshops and conduct management meetings.
An important aspect of cultural transformation is that, in addition to managers, employees without management responsibility also actively drive the cultural process forward and convince their colleagues at their level of the new culture. In our projects, special groups often take on this task by taking care of the internal and external marketing of the cultural project, similar to the Werkstolz concepts used at Telekom. Successful cultural transformations also make use of proven, non-hierarchical mobilization concepts such as quality circles or workshop circles to promote broad acceptance and active participation.
